does anyone know anything about this microphone? would i be correct in assuming it's part of their ribbon line? if so, would there be a good chance that this would be a mic worth having (provided it's still in decent condition)? thanks.

you're probably meaning the M160...of which I have one. They're low output ribbon mics, advertised for use on strings..etc. Common use on snares, gtr amps too. Ok mic, if you can score one for a decent price (<$250), you'd probably be getting a half decent deal. I never use mine much, however.

No info on a search, either...
Probably a dynamic....I've yet to run into a Beyer that didn't rule on something, though.....

so, you think it'd be worth $50-60 even though i'm on a very tight budget and trying to get some versatile additions to my two sm57s?
