Now is the M201TG different from the M201NC?
I am looking to purchase this because it seems that everyone prefers this over the Shure SM57. Any other applications it's good for?

TG stands for Tour Group edition. I think it has internal shock dampening or something like that. Sonically it should be the same.

You can get a free catalog from Full Compass. I just recently ordered one, in fact. Looks like a really cool company. Not only do they carry the Beyerdynamic line (which is somewhat hard to find here in the States), they also carry the ADK line, which is another brand that I've been quite impressed with.
By the way, while checking out the dynamic mics of the Beyer brand, don't overlook the M88 (also in Tour Group edition), which Full Compas also carries. It not only works great on many vocals (It's Phil Collins' live vocal mic, in fact), but it's also really nice on many instruments. Guitar and bass amps, for example. It has a reputation as a KILLER bass drum mic. Plus, it has the added advantage of really freaking your drummer out when he sees you stick a "vocal mic" on his bass drum. ALmost worth the price of admission right there.
