Better Digital Guitar sound...

I didnt know what forum to put this in but since i didnt know, that makes me a newb right there.

Anyways i have Guitar Rig 4, a preamp, and Fast Track pro, and i plug my guitar into the preamp and into fast track pro but is there any way to make this a better quality sound when your record it via DAW? im about to go to guitar center and was wondering what i should get and this is what i want to boost up in my studio thanks!
