Hello,

I was wondering which websites have the best prices?

I've discovered avalive through this forum and they seem to have really great prices on their items they carry.

Would anyone know of a website with really low prices?

TIA,

You can email me with what you want and I can get you some pricing. I'm a dealer for a lot of companies. Some of which are Soundcraft, Audix, Wharfedale, DOD, Juice Goose, Mackie, among others.

prosound@bellsouth.net

8th street has some good pricing and full compass is good.

Low prices tend to vary by dealer and and item. It all depends on inventory and handling fees. I have not found one consistently low source however Bayview Audio comes very close.

oh - waituminut.... you wanted garbage gear sold cheap, not great gear at good prices... forget I said anything! :p

I would have to hit someone in the head to afford the "cheap stuff" as the web site put it

Hmmm... maybe I can talk them into letting me give them one of my arms or legs.... oh wait I need those to record with :D

The best and most consistent site that I found for online equipment purchases has definitely been music123.com in my experiences.

I've been working for the company listed in my signature for just about a year now (I love this job!), and can give very competitive pricing, and/or match/beat any verifiable pricing from authorized dealers...plus we offer free ground shipping (Continental U.S.) on any order over $299 (even on the big stuff - NO hidden fees!). We also have an excellent return policy. The company has been in business for 20 years, and we're sticklers about customer satisfaction!

Give me a call or shoot me an email, and I'll see what I can do for you.

AS A SIDE NOTE: Most gear manufacturers have specific rules about publishing their prices on the web or in print (MAP - Minimum Advertised Price), so (authorized) dealer's web sites/catalogs will have the same pricing listed for said products. Something you see quite often is "Call/Email for better pricing"...this is because the price it's being sold for is less than the dealer is able to publish. IMHO, it's always best to call/email the dealer before making your purchase on the web, because often times you can get better pricing by talking to a sales person.

Every vendor is going to attempt to maximize his profits to the greatest extent possible, so everyone, for all practical purposes, is going to have the same price. Now before you jump up and down in disagreement, note that some vendors will have cheaper prices and some will have higher, but in the long run in all averages out.

I have used Bayview Proaudio to grind down Musicians Friend on a 1010LT, but last I checked, Bayview had gone up, and MF had gone down, and so it goes.

Patience and close proximity to major stores that have clearance sales is your one and only sure way of saving money. Every January the new stuff rolls out, so set your sights on some old crap about to be discontinued, wait, don't start drooling for the new stuff, and pounce when it goes on sale.

I tried to do that with the Roland MMP-2, but ran out of money when the price dropped to what I had, briefly, been able to afford.

It also helps to be willing to compromise... so, okay, you can't get the guitar you want in that beautiful deep red sunburst, only in black. So what. You're ears will never know.

try...........

Back Porch Music - bpmmusic.com

usually beats Musicians Friend and the BIG online retialers by 10% with no tax (outside CO) and free shipping on orders over $50!!
