Hello all,
I'm trying to figure out how to best accomplish this given my current recording setup.
I'm running a:
G4 Mac 500mhz 25 Gig HD
12 channel, 2 bus mixer (no fully-fledged subgroups)
Delta 44 Soundcard (4 in, 4 out)
Logic 4.7 Platinum
I've recorded the acoustic piano before using 2 mics (an AT 3025 and SM58), as well as vocals separately, but now I'd like to try recording both at the same time. I ran into a routing issue the first time I tried, and this is my main question to you veteran recorders out there: I can't figure out how to get around the feedback loop problem when I ad the 3rd mic to record vocals in the signal chain, because I'm using my second bus (Alt 3-4) to monitor. Do I need to buy a new mixer with more subgroups? Or is there a way I can set this up in my recording software so I can 2 signals from the piano, and 1 vocal while still monitoring?
Thanks in advance for any assistantance.
