I need to import audio files (supposedly .wav) exported from Protools to a MAC formatted external hard drive. I am not sure if this can be done just by connecting as I have no MAC experience whatsoever. I am only assuming that W7 wont b able to read a MAC drive.

The client is coming into studio tomorrow evening with the drive and a Macbook in case that makes the transfer easier.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jimmy

Is purchasing MacDrive 8 my best option? I'm sure this wont be the last time I will need to do this type of transfer.

I swear I posted this in Digital Recording and Computers. Argh!!!

I haven't tried to read a mac HDD since they converted to a Linux based OS. So... the easiest way to do this is to use a USB drive! Not from a HDD - if the user has a macbook then it should be pretty easy - in fact if you have a network router (wifi etc.) installed all you have to do is make sure you have a shared public folder on your target Win7 machine - then the macbook just hooks up the the network, opens the shared folder and drags the files right in. Should be a snap.
