Best Sounding amp mod...

I know some of you...tube nuts... would never talk about this, but, what do you rather, pay for 32 different amps in one amp modeler or pay through the nose for those 32 amps...

I'm talking about the V-AMP Pro... is it a good deal for recording??. Would you rather plugging it to a proffesional power amp or to a standar 1x12 combo amp??.

I have heard it, and I can say firmly that the Flextone III is kinda shitty compared to the V-AMP pro; not just for recording, but also for gigging situations...

Of course...with both of these you would never have to go after tubes everytime...

Try out the Digitech Genesis3 for only $150 it's the greatest plus in my opinion it kicksthe pod and v-amps ass

I have several different modelers and, for me, they just don't get it for live use....r.ecording yes, live.....uh-uh.

So I have to keep hauling the tubes around. Oh my aching back!

I have tryed digitech and I like more my Zoom 505...first serie...

The idea is to upgrade my system. I own a Fender Deluxe 90. So I could change it for a Flextone III or for the V-AMP PRO + power amp + cab (perhaps I could even use the fender as a pa and cab.)

The thing is tha I dont have access to a music store. I live in a pretty small town in South America, and what I own is delivered from USA to my home directly. (I pay shipping throug the a**).

So I really need to know what you think, what you really hear. Some of you are guitar gueeks, who can help me a lot deciding what to buy, what not to buy and why...

What are you using to get the stuff you have? If you haven't already done this you should order through musiciansfriend.com they even offer free shiping on orders over a certain price ou should check them out also zzsounds.com is another good one

Inside USA, shipping costs are barely cheap. Try sending a V-Amp trhough MRW or FEDEX to South américa, and after tell me what shipping costs are.

By the way, I have listened some samples of this V-AmpPro, and it seems to be pretty much like a tube amp, most of tube-freaks, would misserably fail their judgment listening to this moddeler.

I havent listened the POD, but I would never pay 700 $ for a moddeler, unless it is the VETTA II with the pedal board included.

SO, do think it is possible to run the V-AMP Pro trough a Carvin Power Amp??. (it is the one I got...also, I'd have to buy speakers...fu**). Or is it better to have it connected to my fender Deluxe 90??...

I have the V-Amp and the POD and the J-Station and I have to say they are all fairly close in sound quality. Each one has it's strenghts and weak points.
And yes.....you could run it thru a power amp.
I think you would ne happy with any of them for what you're describing as your needs. I think the big deal right now is the J-Station ($99) and it has a couple of bass madels too so that makes it pretty cool for recording.
