I need help. I am setting up a DAW and wanted to know the best audio sound card available. I currently have a SB Audigy but wanted to know if there was anything better to work with. I am using a Delta 1010 for recording purposes. Thanks.

depends on your needs. if you have the delta 1010 why not just stick with that? I use a motu 24i. Allows me to record up to 24 channels. I got it for the price of the Delta also.

You already have a most excellent card with the Delta. Use the Audigy to listen to tunes and that's it. Use the Delta for your DAW. Nuff said.

The best-sounding sound card currently available on the market is probably the Lynx II. It has fewer inputs (maximum of 6, I believe), and is a good deal more expensive, though.

An external word clock will improve the sound of your Delta 1010.
