This is my system, I use Pro Tools 10.3.2. I want to find out what should i set these settings to to get the best recording an usage out of the program with my computer specs...

H/W Buffer Size
Host Processors
CPU Usage Limit

Disk Playback Cache Size....

As, well as any other options i have to change to get the best out of what i have. I use a Digi-design Mbox2.

Actually those specs are a lot like the laptop I'm using, and they're not really enough anymore, especially if you're gonna record or mix a bunch of tracks at the same time. There's a post in this part of the forum called: Optimize Your DAW Computer for Your Home Studio
Check it out

I have an i3 2x 2.4G HP laptop 4G ram and that has run around 20 tracks of Cubase le6 with a few pluggins and VSTis without breaking a sweat.

I have no idea how CPU hungry PT is but I would have thought 2x 1.9G would run quite a few tracks? It is the plugs you have to be careful of, especially reverbs.

But yes, get the machine optimized for audio and ESPECIALLY kill Wireless adaptors and probably OnBoardSoundcard.

Dave.
