Try Digital Village ( dv247.com), they may not be the absolute lowest prices but the aftersales service is very good.

Yep I second that... Digital Village is the place to go. Either online or one of their stores. The staff at the Chadwell Heath branch know their stuff and will spend the time talking to you in English if you are new and don't speak the lingo.

Bought about £2k worth of stuff from them in the last couple of months. All down to the fact that they can match prices (beat them in 99/100 times) with other competitors. As well as the after sales service if anything goes south (one mic did and they sorted it out without one bit of hassle).

So, what are you waiting for ... GO ... NOW.... :D

DV usually have the best prices ... however check the specials at Dolpin and Turnkey because they sometimes have awesome one-offs. Turnkey had Soundcraft M12s for £320 recently compared to DV's £450-odd!!

Speaking of UK (or European) distributors; have anyone found a place where they sell the MXL V67G for a reasonable price? The ones I've seen seem to charge like 5 times the US price, i.e. around $500... which I find a bit too steep!

DV does not seem to stock it?

I live in Norway. I just bought a Mxl V67 from Ebay from the states. 122 dollars Including shipping.

www.canfordaudio.co.uk might be worth a peep, is raper & wayman a thing of the past? I used to order from them, they had a quote me facility where you could fill your basket and ask for a quote - they would normally knock a few quid off :)

Holy crap! That Canford place is quoting £178 for AKG C1000Ss!! They're £100 tops normally!!:eek:

:) Hahaha, yeah they quote RRP for a lot of things - I reckon they've never stocked or sold a lot of the stuff they list. They do have a lot of things you can't really get elsewhere nice transformers and the like.

If you call them I'm sure the prices are different
