Best price - approved 256M CF card?

Hi, all. Recently bought an MR-8 -- now I'm scouring the Internet for the best price on a Fostex-approved 256M CF card. I just found this Viking card for $65 after rebate -- anyone know if it will do the trick? Thanks!

Have you updated your MR 8 yet? It seems that if you have it may work (but, as always, YMMV)
see the download page at Fostex and read the new CFC list and caveats.

Thanks for the reply! Yes -- I have downloaded the updated software and will USB it over to my MR-8 tonight. I also downloaded the new list and the Viking 256M is approved. I checked the Viking site, and they only offer one model/type of 256M CFC, so I'm thinking we should be okay. I was surprised to see that Fostex has not approved any of the 512M cards yet, though. Anyway, I'll likely go for the Viking 256 tonight so I can take advantage of the rebate (have to purchase by 1/31/03). The price is right!
