I got mine at www.parkwaymusic.com for $220 shipping included but that was about 4 months ago and if I remember correctly they had planned to raise the price on the next shippment but it's worth a try. $229 is a great price for this very nice mic though!

I got my C1 really cheap off of eBay and the person I bought it off even included free shipping. I believe he's still selling some on there right now.

Hey,

After reading all I could about the C1...I ordered my yesterday (12/8/01) from Bayview. The cost was $229.00 (including shipping). Be carefull when ordering, check to see if who your buying it from has them in stock. If not, you could be waiting for a couple of weeks, if not longer. I can't wait to get mine...I'm real interested in the comments that has been made those using the a unit and how good they really sound. Its too bad you can't find them locally (I'm live in the Phoenix-metro area) I have yet to find a place here where you can go and demo one. This way I either spend my money on a C1 or plunk down a few moew pesos and but a Rode 1000.

EAR in Phoenix is a dealer. They should have them and you could have listened to them there. Either way, Bayview is a good dealer and will give you good service, but we do have local dealers.

Thanks for the info. I don't get out much and have only lived here a scant over 16 months, so I never heard of EAR before. I'll look them up the next time I'm in the market for some more equip. I was a little concern with the guy at Bayview when I asked if he would take back my C1 if I was not happy with it..he told me that they do not take back any microphones...it raised my eyebrows several inches. As someone how spent nearly 3/4 of mil in his lifetime buying audio/video gear that kinda shocked me...maybe I'm just getting old! Looking foward to working with C!!

A lot of places have a no return policy no mics, in fact, I beleive around here it is a city ordinance that you cant take returns on microphones or harmonicas.

I just saw them listed at 8th street as a "JoeMeek" product...the price was $229.00

I bought mine from Magic Audio in Atlanta for $200.00 + Tax.
