What do Effects have to do with Motherboards???

c'mon my dude, i'm just looking for a motherboard that's the best for running VST and outboard effects! CAN YOU DIG IT???

Well like I said Motherboards have little to nothing to do with Running effects....

I have never heard anyone ever say:

"I need a New Motherboard because I can not run "X" Effect"

Or

"X" Effect doesn"t sound Right because of my Motherboard"

A motherboard can effect the Performance of your PC but not so much so that it affects your Effects ,There are Many other things other than the Mobo that will affect performace Like the CPU and amount of Memory ect....

What made you think that your Motherboard had some sort of Connection to Running VST effects???

Cheers

There are good motherboards for under $99?

U need more RAM or a faster chipyo

I already have 2 gigs of RAM and a athlon 64 3200+, but my reverbs aren't working well in vst because of my "mobo". I was just wondering what the best motherboard is specifically for reverb effects in vst. Everything is fine in DX with my current motherboard. Which one my dudes????

:( :( :( I'm dying here!

Who Told you that it was your Motherboard that was causeing your Problems with Reverb??

Did they explain why your Motherboard had a problem with reverb??

I think who ever told you this was either Pulling your leg or didn"t know what they were talking about....Which is probably why no one has come and Posted an answer to your question.....

I have been building Computer systems for a Liveing for the Last 6 years and I have NEVER Ever heard of a Motherboard haveing anything at all to do with Running VST effects unless it was a Problem with the Integrated sound Chip or something but that could be fixed with a New sound Card....

I think you are on the wrong Track here, But if anyone Knows differently I would Love to hear all about it.....

:o

hey thanks man i think i got it fixed, my cpu fan looked weird and none of my rams were connected right. my heat indicator went from blue to bright red after i was tugging at the motherboard trying to "get it back into place for reverbs to work". and my bios settings were all wrong, apparently(?). and my power supply had carbon marks on the back and on some of the wires to the optical media drives. and it smelled like metal dust in there from what i could tell as well as the regular dust. the guy said my computer looked like it had been through an explosion. now it works great.

the guy replaced all of the parts and now should work great when when i get it back, but man it cost me like 550 bucks! I guess i won't build it myself next time. :o :(

I can tell you guys the best cd burner for hip hop is the CompUsa 52x32x52 internal ata drive. It has a slight boost around 80hz, I heard 50 Cent uses this model! :D

Yo, can I run my computer water cooler over to my Mesa to keep it cool. If I could get the temps way down, it should play better. Ya feel me?

I had one of those. I rewired it for 110 and added a pair of unbalanced inputs to it. There was a definate low frequency boost to it, but it was not at 80hz, it was a little lower... more like 60 hz:D
