Hope this is the right area for this thread!

What are some of the best books you've read, music, mixing, business etc.?

Here are a few that I've liked a lot over the years:

Music and Mixing-

Tape Op - The Book About Creative Recording (this is a bunch of interviews frm the first few years of Tape Op magazine)

The Mixing Engineer's Handbook - Bobby Owsinski (great book with interviews with lots of top engineers. Some interesting techniques, I was surprised at how commonly engineers use only one or two mics on a drumkit.)

Behind the Glass: Top Record Producers Tell How They Craft the Hits
- Howard Massey (another good collection of interviews, with a real emphasis on getting great performances)

Business-

The 80/20 Principle: The Secret to Success by Achieving More with Less
- RICHARD KOCH (explains how to do 80/20 analysis, and how to apply it to your business, life, tc.)

The Einstein Factor : A Proven New Method for Increasing Your Intelligence -- - Win Wenger, Richard Poe (Not so much a business book as a creativity book. Several very interesting visualization techniques that, while not music specific, can yield very good results. "Imagine that you're Steve Albini. Now imagine you're Steve Albini recording the Pixies. Notice where you place mics, and why you're placing them there. What are you paying attention to? What things are you noticing...")

I have a bunch more, but I just wanted to start the conversation off!

Passman - All You NEed To Know About The Recording Industry..... or something like that.

Prolly not the most educational, but deffinately the most entertaining, was a book about EMI/Abbey Road Studios. Dont remember the title but it was real expensive. Deffinately some great stories.

books...

Making Music- George Martin/Abbey Road-AIR
All You Need is Ears- George Martin/Abbey Road-AIR
Electronic Musician- articles

if you learn 1 new thing or get 1 new smile...the book was worth it.

Yes, it seems that the George Martin books are highly regarded. I'ma little surpirsed that there haven't been any more suggestions, is there really just a dearth of decent books?

Granted, a lot of the books covering studio recording techniques are painfully basic, but there must be some out there that are interesting?
