i need a good mixer for mixing vocals mostly my budget on it is bout 260-270 buks i was thinkin bout gettin a Behringer UB1832FX-PRO....is there anythin better maybe for even less then da price above also i need a good condensor mic i was thinkin bout gett in a behringer B-1 please leve a massage n help me out

thanx
:D

At this price point it tends to be between the Berry and the similar Yamaha's. I have a few berry mixers and for me they work fine.

The berry B1 is comparable to the SP B1 that gets good reviews on this board, take your choice

get a studio projects b1, not the behringer, and a yamaha mg series mixer, not the behringer. youll be happy you did

More mindless Behringer bashing...

'You'll be happy you did' with nothing to back it up.

Behringer make fine products for this end of the market. It's as hip to bash them as it used to be for bands to put 'no Peavey gear' on fliers/LP's/CD's.

blabla, keep in mind that the Behringer you're looking at has built in effects and the mic is just rebranded at the same Chinese factory.

Hey, blabla.

Check out this Carvin. Probably a bit better than Behringer, and made in the USA. I've had good luck with my Carvin gear.

Thank you, at last another open mind.

hey apl are you referring tot he C844? the link didn't lead to any mixer in particular. I would second this mixer though, i like carvin gear as well. The yamaha boards mentioned work well also. I'm not bashing behringer, just the only times i have used them were in live PA type applications. They worked well, the behringer board got soaked in the rain and kept on working

When my dad first started recording... I got him a behringer board (12 channels with 2 subs and the mix bus) and it works good for him because he dioesnt have to repatch and can route signals around. he got an MBox and STILL uses it and doesnt even realize he shouldn use the focusrite pre's instead.

he's in LA so I never had a chance to hear the board.

my brother in law needed a similar board.... so i suggested the same thing. I set it up for him and got a chance to work with the board.

nice features, nice routing, etc....

god aweful harsh sounding pre's and eq. the faders feel like ass, but hey.. it has features they need.

Hmmm, should have gone to the Studio Mate SM162, <$250.
