in my experience, it was a sm57 right up close for proximaty effect (the track WILL rumble) and a LD condenser (preferably a NT1, since its a POS already, you wont mind the smell) about 12 inches away.....compress and eq the sm57 and leave the nt1 dry and flat.....combine the 2.....

this information has been covered many, many times....i wish the search function wasnt crippled.....

I personally am of the opinion that the subject of audio reproduction of human flatulance has garnered way more attention around this forum than it deserves.

That said, I still believe it would be the Behringer ecm8000. It's convenient shape would allow for actual entry . . . and . . . well, I don't need to spell it out for you, do I?
