Best Mic Preamp in the $300 range

I have a small home studio. My main vocal mic is an Audio Technica 4033. I was wondering if anyone could provide some experienced knowledge as to what the BEST mic preamp in the $300 range is. Or maybe do a quick review\comparison. I'm looking for a warm full sound. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Consider the Presonus Blue Tube Mic Pre and the Behringer Ultragain MIC2200 (tube mic pre). There are a lot of mic pres in this category, so I'll let others chime in. Both sell in the $150 to $180 range from http://www.musiciansfriend.com and http://www.americanmusical.com . For the price both are good units.

I've got a Presonus blue tube and I love it. Especially for $160! It is known for the warm character in its' price range...I think it adds quite a bit of warmth to my setup and I have and old Shure mic...

Best price I found at the time was at http://www.marsmusic.com.

And another to consider...

I just got an Art DualMP, around $259. I'm not sure if the other preamps mentioned have two channels, but I know that's something I had to have. I noticed a difference right away when recording and I used it when mastering to run the signal through and "warm" it up some. Don't know how I ever did without it.

The Presonus is stereo...another reason I got it. Maybe the ARTdualMP has other features? Not sure. Check em out and buy what suits your needs best.

It got a rave review and costs about $200. It was compared to pres costing thousands

I Use Three Pre's

The ones in my Yamaha AW4416, the one in my TC Helicon Voiceprism, and a Behringer T1953 Tube Ultragain. All three have their distinctive sound. All three make me a very happy recording guy
