Best Mic for ISA 220 Session Pack

I recently got the Focusrite ISA 220 session pack w/digital option, which will go into a 2480. I plan on getting a couple of C-1's in the near future anyway so you can exclude them. I'm looking for something in the $5-600 dollar range. Would a good tube mic be my best bet since the session pack is solid state? Which one?
