Dear All, I recorded my first EP (actually as stereo track into the PC) and shall deliver the CD master to the Glass master producer.
Which gear do you use to perform this operation ??
1)Stand alone CD-R or PC ??
2) Do you think I could fulfill the CD audio standard with a PC or it will be impossible??
3)Which CD burn programme is the best for the standard needed by the glass master producers to have compatibility with their machines ??

I ask you this because I would like to have an AUDIO CD with the biggest compatibility on Hifi equipments; otherwise I would have been using my PC to produce Audio CD-R (it is my first product, so no big series are forecastable yet.)

Pls give me your guidelines
Tks

I always use CD-R from my PC. Or you could provide it to the mastering house on DAT.

If you use a CDR I would reco a Mitsui. They are worth the little bit more money you will pay...

A good replicator will take just about anything. You should contact the place that will be producing the glass master and ask them what formats they accept. From what answer they give you, you choose what best fits your capability. If they say they will take a CD-R from your computer, but they get better results with a DAT, maybe look into renting a DAT.

Well to answer ques. numero uno, I have heard the stand alone CD-R burners are better because then tend to have less jitter. Jitter will screw your sound up, so avoid it like the plague.
