I am looking at Izotope Ozone. Is there any thing out there for around the same price that is better?

Thanks

F.S.

I recently downloaded there demo version and its not bad, but I still prefer the Waves plugs. Got spend more dough for these though !!

Stealthtech: Does waves have decent demos? I tried the ozone demo a while back and I likes what it did for some things but when it cutts out every 5 seconds it is a bit hard to judge.

Thanks

Nothing beats the Waves C4.

I'm also told the new multiband included with the Waves Mastering Edition is even better - but I don't have firsthand experience with that one.

Does c4 include multiband? I looked at the products at the waves sight and I could find no mention of multiband compression. Maybe I'm just blind (my mom told me this would happen:D)

And does anyone know the going rate for this product? I'd rather avoid the wink wink nudge nudge aproach. strickly a personal choice:)

Thanks guys

Gold Waves Bundle with the C4 starts at $1000....ouch !!!
Check Ebay

Just checked only 2 starting at $1200

That wink wink is starting to sound better is'nt it

Yes it does.

FS - the C4 IS the multiband. It's included in several of the Waves bundled packages - such as Waves Platinum or Waves Gold. Then you also have the new Waves Masters which includes a Linear Phase Multiband that is purportedly the next generation of the C4.

They make great stuff, but you go for your lungs to buy it. Most of the bundles are around $1000, and the Platinum bundle lists for $2100.

I believe you can get the C4 as a standalone product for around $400. But I would highly suggest one of the packages. In addition to the C4, you should also have the L1, which is $300 standalone. At that point you're already in the package price range.

wink, nudge or pass the vasoline???? ouch man!!!
The prices they charge:eek:

My package price is less than that:D

Thanks guys it will all be taken in consideration.

Oh and by the way I now like my farts am a force of nature!!!!

expensive!

when you start from nothing, yes the waves plugins are a chunk o' change..but the effects/eq/compressor...etc you get with it would cost you an unimaginable amount of money were you to buy the hardware units...there are all kinds of awesome effects in there...like the mutron biphase which is an older effect but it would cost you like 20k to buy the hardware nowadays just because sp layed it over all their songs on siamese dream.

Ya well I have a bit of hardware since I come from a live background, But considering that hardware includes R&D and manufacturing and software is more R&D with little manufatcure price it seems high. Well I am glad to see Izotope and some of the others on the scene. Maybe a little more compatition will help.

Any way having never used waves I can't compare so you would no better if it is far and away better than say Ozone. Ozone 2 is out soon. I will have to check it out.
