I would never buy a mic that wouldnt cut muster unless if it was modded....and once you have paid for the mod and the extra shipping...what could you have had?

You will think that someday when you buy one and want to redo all your tracks you did with the octava 319...lol.

Of course. As if I'm the only one getting a cheaper microphone before getting a more expensive one.
It should be here by tomorrow, I can't wait!

That's interesting. Because I've had a large number of clients sell or bench their U 87s and TLM-103s after getting a mod'd 219 or 319.

You should put that in a marketing brochure.

Once you replace the capsule and the board inside...what is left of the MK 319 anyway...its just your mic in anothers enclosure.

I'll just hope I'm gonna get a decent MK-319. When I get sick of it I'll send it off to you, Michael.

The store is located here in the Netherlands, not sure if that would have been a good idea.

I'm sure it will be fine, Oktava quality control has been quite good for years now. Btw - I don't change out the capsule and transformer in the 219 and 319 - they are both excellent.

Well good luck with it...I cant say I liked mine...but they are pretty inconsistant...you might get a good one.

I asked how old the stocks were but I did not get a reply on it.
I'm pretty confident too, I mean, for the standards here, this mic was pretty cheap.
I'm pretty sure the papers will tell me from around when the mic is. Something that came with my Oktava MK-012 said it was checked a not too long before it was sold.
Also I don't have to worry too much, because according to Oktava Online (I e-mailed the contact person there), the shop I ordered from is an authorized Oktava dealer.

It's here, the thing appears to be from 2005.
It came in a messed up wooden box, the papers are wrinkled but are there.
