I`m on it, my friend! I just ordered it! I`ll try this one first before buying the MD431 II handheld ( Sennheiser) They say it`s one of the best microphones for live performances under 1000 dollars, but I do have a feeling I`m going to like the EV!
Thank you!

Ha,ha will do! And will try to make good music:))) Thank you!
By the way, I know you`re not a big fan of digitech but I found this digitech vocalist 2 which costs about 1500 dollars used, for 250 dollars on yahoo
auctions:) Digitech vocalistII
http://www.amazon.co.jp/DigiTech-VO...8&s=musical-instruments&qid=1285858188&sr=8-7

I`m so tempted to buy it. Also I found the yamaha spx200 used for 600 bucks. perfect quality, no scratches etc, I`ll get that as well.

Cool,I hope you mean the SPX 2000 ..... but again you realize that the digitech is just for one vocalist?
Where as the Yamaha can be set up in the pa to be auxed to all the vocals and maybe a smidgen on the instruments when needed?

That would be great send me the link .
You should post it in the MP3 clinic as well.

Will do! Still a month to go:)
Everything will be in English. 7 originals and 1 cover (It`s my life from Bon Jovi) Next time we will try 1 Japanese cover:)

Great may I suggest Sukiyaki By Kyu Sakamoto Other wise known as "Ue O Muite Aruko" One of my all time favorites, Look it up on "song Facts" and you'll be able to view the original 1963 video. You just have to be able to whistle real good.
And then you have to play Woo Hoo by 5678!

In fact I was considering the Sukiyaki song! Not a joke:)
By the way...I tried the EV today at the shop... Dunno...i felt that it didn`t pick the lower notes as well as an Audiotechnica that was 150 dollars more expensive than the EV, And I`m a baritone ...kinda... I`m guessing that when you`re a pro, you can make it sound good from the processor ( Equalize etc) But the "raw" thing didn`t impress me:(

That is so cool that your going to do that cover by Kyu Sakamoto!!!
Like I said one of my all time favorites. -YOU HAVE TO SEND ME A COPY OF YOUR VERSION-
It is a dark song theme but the melody has haunted me these many years since 1963.
Would it translate good to English or would that mess up the foundation of the song?
If you have the time would you send me the English words?
And do you know the name of the movie that he stared in with this song and if it's still available.

Now which AT were you A/Bing the EV up against?

I`m so sorry for the late reply. I actually had to go to back to the store and write down the name of the mike I tried! It`s an Audiotechnica AE6100. It`s 50 bucks more expensive than the EV, but the bass...you could really hear a difference. All 3 of us agreed on this.
Do you know that Kyu Sakamoto died in a plane crash over 20 years ago?
I had the translation somewhere, I`ll find it and send it to you. If not, I`ll ask my wife to help me translate it. She`s more of a poet:)I think it more tha translatable:)
I was gonna open a new thread, but with a friend like you, there`s no point:)) I know you`d be there to answer my question. I`ll need some cables for that Yamaha I will buy today. I suppose I need around 4 cables. It`s just a wild guess:) I`ve seen a lot of cables, and I know Japanese people would spend 120 bucks on a 5 meter cable just because they want to have the most expensive stuff, but how much would I have to spend on it to get a great sound? What cables do you use?
