Best budget microphones for home studio?

I am looking for a cheap-ish (~$300) large diaphragm condenser microphone for recording acoustic guitar and vocals. I am considering the MXL V69ME as well as the Audio Technica AT4040. Beyond that, is there anyone who knows anything about Select Elentronics? The sE2200a is at the right price and I've heard good things about the company. Any thoughts? Thank you!

The cheapest condensor I have is the Rode NT2a and I use it quite often. It works great on just about anything they run for like a little over $300 but if you want bang for the buck go with a Rode. Audio Tech also has really good mics so if the Rode is out of your price range go with the AT4040. Can't recommend MXL bcs i haven't used em..

You won't beat the RED5 Audio RV6 for value for money. Great mic. at a ridiculously low price. To call it a Chinese AKG doesn't do it justice. Not sure they're available in the US but they appear on eBay from time to time.
