Best budget acoustic electric guitars

So put a pickup in it. It's one of the things that'll sustain you in your old age. I have an old, slightly cracked Epiphone that's still a pretty stable guitar. I bought it new in 1979, and danged if it isn't becoming "vintage". You have to get something good in your old age. Treat the guitar well, let it age, and hope it doesn't have a laminated top. I've got a vintage Yamaha classical I'm very fond of, that was made to be a student guitar, and some Luthier got lucky/kicked ass. Take care of it, and let it mellow with you for 30 years or so.-Richie
 
Thank you Richie! It`s been 7 years already:) I`m pretty determined to keep it now. And if I feel like buying a new one, I`ll save some money and buy a better one. Cheers

Agreed. Fishman, LRBaggs and Seymour Duncan make some very nice, true to sound soundhole pups and under-saddle transducers. Bill Lawrence soundhole pups can sound nice, but the ones I've tried have made my guitars sound like electrics.
