best 2 channel a/d converter for $1000?

i know it is subjective but i would like to hear some opinons on 2 chanel a/d converters in the 1k range. right now i am looking at the mytek and lucid.

anyone have any other suggestions?

right now i am only using a mp2nv into the analog inputs of a digi 002 rack.

You may wish to check into the Kurzweil Rumour.

While it's a reverb/effects unit, the A/D's are supposed to be quite good,
and is otherwise regarded as an outstanding box.

I've seen Apogee MiniMe's blown out here and there for around $1,000 with the USB option - Killer converters, two excellent mic preamps, SoftLimit, PushIT compression... $1000? You can't beat it.
