You get what you pay for. What do you need a mixer for? (how did you plan on using it)

Its really just for the phantom power and the preamp >w< trying not to spend a lot since i'm just experimenting at the moment until i'm sure recording and stuff is what want to invest in.

Well that mixer won't help you with recording unless you've got an audio interface (converts analog to digital to send to the computer via USB). generally, USB mixers are not that great (they can have noisy A-D converters), but there is a USB version of that mixer for another $20.
