Recently, I bought a small recording set that I was going to use with my iPad to record. I bought the Roland Duo Capture EX and the MXL 990/991 Condenser recording package. Well the mics were decent, but I play hard rock/metal and certain aspects of my set were drowning out the rest (esp my China and Bass drum). I returned both the interface and mics, purchased a 7 mic set with dynamics and condensers and the Behringer Xenyx X2222USB 8 Channel mixer. I'm not looking to do any editing as my drums sound great and im not making full tracks, mainly just some volume control between the mics so that I can equalize the input. Anyone have some experience with this mixer or have any better suggestions before I open it up for supreme disappointment?
