Im new to recording but have the general idea down and desperately need help. I have heard recordings done with a POD and was told the V-Amp could produce similar results. Im running the analog outputs from the Behringer V-Amp into a channel on my small Mackie mixer. From the mixer do i use the AUX SEND, AUX RETURN, or the MAIN to run the mixer to the Line In port on my computer? I have the Tapco Mackie 6306 6-Channel mixer. I tried using Cool Edit Pro and was having major EQ problems. Please can someone reccomend on me what to do. I use a cable thats 1/4" on one end and 1/8" on the other to connect the mixer to the computer. Help would be greatly appreciated, as would software reccomendations. Thanks

Hey Dude,

Use the Main Outs on the Mackie...unless you are hooking monitors to the Mackie...if so...hook the monitors up to the Main Outs...and use the Aux Send > Line-in....then run the Out on the Sound Card to the Aux Return on the mixer. Also, you might want to get an adapter so that you can run that cable from the 1/8" on the Sound Card to 1/4" L/R Stereo Aux on the mixer.
