Behringer usb/firewire mixers can they be used as a soundcard

ok the xenyx mixers do they work on the same principle as the firepod with the xenyx mixer acting as the soundcard? they say asio compliant but that could easily mean that it's only supported not that it has it's own latency drivers? tried contacting them to no avail to find out, anyone got any ideas?

If it's usb/firewire then the mixer is doing the AD conversion so yes it's acting as the soundcard
