I recently picked up the Behringer t1951 tube EQ and the t195? tube Ultrafex. So far, they sound great with just a pair of mics on an acoustic guitar.

I know they're intended to be used as post-production gear, but I was wondering of anyone else has used them?

I'm in the slow process of building a decent home studio, but right now all I have as a recorder is a Boss BR-8. I don't have a mixer but I was thinking about getting the Behringer MX3242X as a console.

I've heard mixed reviews about Behringer in general. I know mackie stuff is better (not to mention all the other more expensive manufacturers) but I can't afford anything else now.

Any ideas on how to use my tube units with a BR-8? Any thoughts on better uses for the tube units in general?

Pssst... Secret to the Behringer 195x tube gear... Replace the tubes with a good matched-pair of NOS Mullard CV4004 tubes... I had the 1953 preamp for awhile and did that (never tried it with the Sovteks it came with), before I sold it because I needed the money. But I still have my matched CV4004s! What, they're going for 200 bucks now? Quite my little secret, but you can get a pretty decent 2-ch. preamp for a total around $300 if you replace those tubes! ;)
