Behringer Mixer owners

Fine, this still isn't the place or the thread to get into that. Hope you like your new board and I hope it does what you want.

Peace

The inserts are pre EQ. Do not get confused with the Aux. sends one of which can indeed be changed from pre to post and visa-versa by soldering some bridges. The manual has detailed instructions as to how to do this.
The smaller mixers 602 and 802 do not have any insert sockets.

One thing I like about Mr Q at least he is consistent.

Thankyou very much wilkee!!:D :D :D

I try to be!

boardman, go on and enjoy your Behringer(sucks) mixer and pay me no mind!!! Everyone member of HomeRecording.com KNOWS
I hate Behringer Mixers and I never resist the opportunity when I see a Behringer mixer thread to vent my anger with the WORST MIXER ever made!!!
But if you and others are getting the most out of it fine and dandy
so record on! But MR.Q warns you....."Its' just a matter of time when you join the Behringer Mixers Sucks Club!!!" ;)

Peace
Mr.Q

Hi, all. I don't mean to step in on someone elses question here, but it looks like a good thread to ask my question as it applies to Behringer mixers.

Basically, I'm looking at getting a mixer for my own home recording. For the money, Behringer seems to be a good deal. But, I've heard there are noise issues. Do you guys have good luck with yours? I assume if you haven't sold it by now, you are satisfied with the quality. Keep in mind, I am not looking for Master quality. I just want to get my ideas on CD or tape and possibly mix everything eventually for a demo. If I want a high quality demo, I will just go to a local studio.

Thanks in advance.

For the money they are as good as you can get and I believe that the latest models are also very reliable.

I have no problems at all with noise or reliability and find the build quality to be VERY good.

Now Mr Behringer send the Euros to Tony Wilkes 116 etc.etc.

But there are other opinions one of which should be coming along right now (over to you Mr Q)

I have to agree with wilkee. I have owned mackie and behringer both. I now have a behringer mx3242x. I had a mackie 1604vlz pro. I wouldn't go back for any reason. My behringer is not noisy at all, well laid out. Just a great board at a great price and I don't give a shit what anyone else says.

The other post about behringer sounds like sour grapes to me. I haven't ever found a company that makes equipment that never have a bad one in the bunch once in awhile. I can understand someone not liking a product because of its performance as advervised. I can tell you that is not a problem with behringer nor mackie. It just happens that behringer is less expensive. Does that make it less of a board, NOooooooo.

Anyway, I don't know anything about any small boards by any company. I don't know what size board you are looking for. That might help in making a suggestion.

Peace

Thanks. The price on their equipment is just too good to pass up.

Basically, the deciding factor on the size is how I decide to mic my drums. I will only either be recording my drum tracks or the guitar(s) and only if I do them at the same time. When I just do my guitar track, I run it directly into the sound card.

So, I'm looking at something like the MX2004A. That might actually be more than I need. But, I would hate to decide someday to really mic the drums really well and not have enough channels. I've heard it can be done with as little as 2 or 3 mics. but, most I've seen typically put a mic on every piece. That's more stuff I need to learn and play with myself.

Thanks again.

I have a MX2004 which I used with a local Rock Band for FOH duties and also it was used with its insert sockets to feed a Delta 1010 for recording.

The Mixer was never the weak link, the Mic pre.s were always up to the job and I found the EQ etc to be more than acceptable.

For the price you could not do better and I actually prefered to use it than my Soundcraft Folio SX

Now I have my Digital jobby it has now been retired but NEVER let me down

my 2004a hasnt had a problem yet (been a year already). the channel inserts are a godsend!

I don't know what you're talking about sour grapes and all, but their mixes agaon suck!
I presently own the Alesis 24 and 32 boards(both for sale), a Mackie 1202VLZ (sweet pre's) and a SoundTracs Topaz 24/8 (this board RUUULES!!). I previously owned a spanking, brand new, (piece of sh#t) Behringer MX2426 and worked on the Eurodesk 9000 (The WORST of the WORST). The MX broke down after 2 weeks of SIMPLE operation! Amongst the many problems that you don't take the time to notice about these boards, is the simple fact some of 'em don't even have a common "ON/OFF" switch!!! Wassup wit' dat!!??
But if you're happy, enjoy your self! I'll leave you all be!
But sooooooon............................. BWAhahahahahahaha!

Peace
Mr.Q

Enough all ready. I think everyone now knows that you don't like or should I say hate behringer. Like I said before, use what ever you like. I could give a shit less. Those of us who do use behringer and are very happy with what we have don't need to hear all your whining about how shitty they are. Get a fucking life and leave use alone. You must just read all the threads on this site looking for the word behringer so you can slam them just because you had bad luck with your stuff. This post was about helping a person with a pre post problem that had nothing to do with any board. He just happened to be using a behringer. If he was using an apogee, he would have asked the same question. If you don't have any positive input, why even reply:confused:

agree completely

I think mr. q is on mackies payroll....:D

maybe we can get the moderators to add the following statement to the 'terms and conditions' when signing up for password, etc.: "Oh, by the way, MR Q. hates behringer mixers"

that way he could be sure that his message has been read by all...and then he can quit posting his drivel about how much he hates B mixers...;)

LOL:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Yeah, I do kinda' go overboard sometimes!! Sorry!'

I just don't wanna see any-1 get screwed by their mixers
and DEALING WITH BEHRINGER'S CUSTOMER(lack of)SERVICE
when inquiring about repairs,warranties etc.
(Mannn, they put me thru HELL!!! )

I will now leave you all in peace!

Behringer mixers suck!

And boardman, you need to take a chill your self and stop responding to my posts! Most peep's here don't take me serious
and neither should you! Like I've stated prev'ly, if you enjoy your
mixer than fine! I'm just informing the masses that are still fence-sitting on whether to buy the piece-0-crap or not!
Neither have I attacked you personally either, just your d@mn board!!!

Well, I'm with Q on this. Behringer mixers are pretty nasty. If they work for you and you don't mind the crap, boogie on. Aside from the poor build quality, it's their bussiness practice (or lack of) that puts me off the most.
I got your back Q:cool:

At least Mr Q speaks from experience ( mostly bad) of products he has owned and I can respect that. What pisses me off is pepe's that just echo other peoples sentiments with no real Knowledge of what they are talking about.

He knows my thoughts and I know his, no problems there!!

At least we both use Alesis HD24s so somewhere our processes cross

BEHRINGER

I appreciate the info and even certain people watching out for others' interests. But, it all boils down to what I can afford and what will actually do the job in the end. Sounds like to me Behringer will get me the features I need for a lot less money and do what I need. I am not trying to master disks ready for the shelves. Therefore, no need for a 64 ch. board and a 24-track (even a Mackie would be considered a piece of shit compared to a pro setup). I am not a recording engineer. I just want to get my ideas on tape, CD or whatever. I could just buy a 8-track and do the same thing, but I would prefer to digitize it and put it on CD. I already have the equipment to do that all but the mixer and mics.

Ok, so I think I'm convinced a Behringer will do the job. If not, I can sell it on Ebay. Time to move on to another thread to answer which one to buy.

Thanks dudes (or dudettes).

Dave
