Has anyone used this to controll monitor volume? Does it keep the signal clean?

I don't know if they sell it already, but I saw it at some online vendors.

I wouldn't count on it keeping the signal clean. The behringer gear that I have used was all noisy, and just plain felt cheap. But that is just my experience.
