hey...i have seen alot of negative things about behringer gear in on this site... but it seems like u guys dont think too badly of the mics they make... how come? or i am wronng?

Yea, you do see alot of negative stuff about Behr. gear on this BB. I don't own a Behr. mic, but I do have a small Mixer that has worked fine for me. I think the consensus is that you get what you pay for. I'v only been recording for a couple of years but it seems to me that for my home studio work, some of this inexpensive equipment is perfect. It's just a hobby, and I can't afford top of the line stuff. I'v seen the Behr. mics advertised, they are inexpensive...I guess for the price what the hell, you can never have too many mics anyway. I'd say if your going to be doing some serious recording( and charging people $ ) then you might want to save up for a better Mic.

I use the Behringer XM8500 for live (punk rock/rock). They work well for that and it isn't the end of the world if they break. I wouldn't use them for recording though, you recording is as only good as you mic.
