Behringer HPS3000 Headphones ???

Do they sound as "cheap" as they go for ? Anyone use 'em ? Any reviews ?

Haven't tried the HPS3000 cans but I have a couple pair of the HPX2000 cans in the studio. At only about $20 they are very good bang for the buck. And if some dumbass steps on them it's not like they just broke your Sennheiser 280's. They actually sound pretty good although they are open back. Not a good idea in the vocal booth but great for the guitar player, etc. Very comfortable too. You can find them everywhere online or eBay.

i've got a pair of hps3000s and, for the price, they're pretty good. not the best headphones in the world, but fantastic value for money.

i have 4 in my studio to give to musicians when thay come and record... Perfect for the scope and easy to buy a new pair if one feels like Hendrix and smashes the guitar on the cans !

How’s the isolation on the HPS3000? Are they totally closed back, because it looks like there are openings (slits) on the back of the phones????

About a year and a half ago, I bought about 10 pairs . . .


They sounded fine at first, and seemed like a good value purchase. However, a year later, only one (out of the original 10) is still working, and even that one is a little iffy. That's 9 pairs that have basically gone bad in that time span, including one that pretty much ruined a session for me.

Do yourself a favor and spend just a little more on something that might have a remote chance of actually lasting a little while.

I bought a pair when they first came out. Very flimsy construction and about the worl;ds shortest lead, but can be used Ok for tracking drums or whatever. Definitely not for mixing though. Also recently just picked up a really cheap pair of digitor (radio shack, known as tandy in Oz) phones for about $40.00 Australian ($25.00-30.00US) and these things are way better than the behringers as they can handle way louder sound levels etc. Am gonna get some more of those in future.
