Behringer going factory direct?!?

I just read this press release on the Behringer website:

In the face of rapid company growth, the MUSIC Group has announced a restructuring of their European and US sales programs for the BEHRINGER and BUGERA brands toward a factory direct sales model that allows them to streamline distribution and logistics operations.

Does this mean they are no longer going to sell through retailers and maybe move to a catalog/online web store similar to what Carvin did back years ago?

IT could be that, or what I suspect is that they are doing away with "Authorized Distributors" and anyone with a PO can negotiate purchases with them. It becomes a free for all in the retail side as everyone and their brother now have access to the product. Then they basically offer volume discounts to the retailers that commit to the largest order.
