Behringer f-control firewire help..

im totally new to this.
what kind of cords would i need to plug the mixer into the audio interface? In the picture on the where it plugs in it has 2/r 1/L. what kind of cables should i order with it? I already have the mixer. any help? thanks.
 
i havn't ordered it yet. I want to order them at the same time but don't know what kind of cable to get..

That part threw me.

You might want to go to the Behringer site and download the brochure or manual and have a thurough read at it. Make sure it's gonna do the job you think it.

The word Firewire in the title kinda rang a bell but that could just be me.... I'm new round here.

Just from looking at the rear view pic on the website it's a 2in/2out line level firewire card with a headphone volume.

1L and 2R are unbalanced line inputs. That's like a guitar cord or a TS cable

the other 1L 2" are balanced returns, that's a TRS cable

and it has 2 firewire sockets IEE1334 cable or whatever it's called. Not sure why it has 2 without reading the manual for you. Surely not one to send and one to recieve?

Well it's Behringer so it must be good but obviously not as good as their other stuff with tubes in it....prolly won't glow quite the same as their other stuff but expect the same high noise floor and level of hiss is anyone still reading this cause I'm just rambling a pile of pish now so I'd definately read the manual
 
I have an F-Control that I use mostly for performing live with soft synths. For any recording I use a Firepod, but I did try it out recording a couple of times. Surprisingly it actually was pretty good. Certainly not on par with better interfaces, but if someone needed a real cheap solution and already had a mixer or something, this just might be the ticket. ASIO drivers in Sonar also worked just fine, I didn't try WDM mode. But...for what I use it for, triggering soft synths live, it worked well for me, and was more portable than the Firepod.
