Can anyone give a good explanation as to the differences between the Behringer Autocom and the Composer? I'm choosing one to buy.

The Autocom has separate IRC expander/gates
with a dynamic enhancer.

is the dynamic enhancer a good reason to go with the autocom rather than the composer?

Both boxes are listed as interactive 2-channel Compressor/limiter/expander with
the Autocom utilizing the enhancer as a
additional feature. Can't really tell you which direction to choose but in my opinion if you lose some of the "flavor" of your music via compression I believe the enhancer will widen the spectrum of the sound wave to some sort of degree. This is what some tekkie
told me at Sam Ash Music.

but the composer has a limiter on each channel, and can't i just tweak in a little high frequency boost on the mixing board instead of the "dynamic enhancer"?

In theory, that the enhancer is supposed to improve and restore sound color lost due to compression. But,in my opinion it's just another un-needed feature put out by the manufacturer to justify it's price.Like you,
if certain tones are lost via compression or limiting,I just tweak the eq a bit to compensate.
