Anyone have any experience with the new Behringer BCA2000 audio interface http://www.behringer.com/BCA2000/index.cfm?lang=ENG . It's a USB 2.0 interface for the computer with some handy (actual) 100mm faders, all the standard interface stuff (2 mic inputs with inserts, 2 1/4" inputs, some line in/out's, etc, plus all the midi stuff) and even optical and coaxial digital input and outputs. At $219.00 in most stores http://www.music123.com/Behringer-B-Control-Audio-BCA2000-i129430.music it seems like a STEAL!! Which is what makes me wonder. Is this too good to be true? I don't have any experience with Behringer equiment, and being that this is a new product, I guess most people aren't even familiar with it. What do you think? I need a nice (relatively inexpensive) computer interface to do start doing some home recording. Would this be worth giving a shot?

This won't ship in the U.S. until the end of the month (June 2004), from what I can surmise from the online retailers.

Looks very interesting, so I'm curious as well to see/read any early previews. This one device seems to solve the problem of needing many disparate pieces of equipment-- midi I/O, audio I/O, mixer, S/PDIF I/O, etc.

Any more news or info out there?

Behringer BCA-2000

Hi,

Dont know if this thread is still active but here goes.
I have been trying to find out info on this unit myself. It looks absolutely brilliant!. I am on a tight budget and have been looking at the Edirol UA-25, Tascam US-224 & US-122 all of which look like they could do the job, but when i saw the BCA-2000 it not only looks great but the spec seems to be everything i want.
Have you got any info on it yet?
