I wanted to get some user reviews on these. If anyone uses these or has used them I would appreciate any info you could give me.

I mainly need these for checking mixes on due to the fact I am mixing on headphones at the moment. I had to move recently and I am unable to use my main monitors which are Dynaudio BM5A's.

In the past I have used Mackie HR824, BlueSky,Tannoy Reveal. I know these can't compete with these brands but I am curious how they compare to them.

My main concerns are how accurate these are. I have heard so many mixed reviews on these. I am curious on how the low end is on these and the overall sonic quality.

I know all about Behringers reputation but I have always been curious about their Truth monitors.

Anyone who wouldn't mind sharing their experiences with these I would greatly appreciate it. To all who post, thank you in advance. :)

Their Truth monitors aren't bad at all. I use B2030P's. The high frequencies could be a little more crisp, but they are fine for home recording. Behringer's stereotype for sucking is only true if you have better equipment, or if you mistreat the gear.

I've got to say - I heard the 31A's and the 31P's through a Bryston 2B. No effin' contest, Katie bar the door, Annie get your gun, Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.

No idea on the 30's (sorry Jeff), but if you power the 31P's with a decent amplifier, you could do worse.

That said, you can't do much worse than the amplifiers built into the 31A's.

But if you have a decent amplifier lying around - A used Bryston, a Rotel high-current amp, maybe a Hafler - The 31P's might do the trick. No, they won't sound like your BM5's, but you might be able to make sense of them.

Thanks Massive for the reply, I appreciate the info. I'm not sure what amp I'm going to go with. Taking it one step at a time. I wanted to make sure that the B2031p were worth it first.

My main concern is the low end, I've read so many reviews that contradict one another, I guess that's to be expected when your talking about monitors.

Anyone else have any info on these? Anyone who owns them and uses them form day to day maybe?

Thanks guys for all the info, I really do appreciate it. :)

Fwiw

I've used the 2030 actives for a few years and have been very pleased. Don't know about the passives.

peace
