Hello, all! Just registered today..

I just purchased a behringer b-1 condenser mic. I noticed that
if I switch the low cut filter on, some strange noise occured when I turned the gain knob on the preamp up. It sounded almost like murmuring water.Shouldn't the low-cut filter eliminate such low frequent noise? Anyone using a behringer b-1 who could throw in some words on this one?

Always grateful,

Simon

HMMMMNNNN....

I think that kind of whooshing noise may be normal as you adjust levels, but I have no clue what the actual reason behind it is. Once the level is set you shouldn't hear that sound any more.

The Behringer B1 is supposed to be very quiet overall (not much background hiss). How do you find it?

I think it's a bit noisier than I expected, but the sound is really nice. I only found it strange to get more noise with the l-c filter on. I guess I have to play around with it a bit more.. Thanks for the answer!

Always grateful,

Simon

Some noise after the switching of the filter into the circuit is to be expected but this should rapidly go away.

I have 2 B1's and they do not make any noise (other than normal) if the LC filter is applied.
Also both of my Mics are fairly quiet at least as quiet as my AT4033.
