Behringer b-1

im 15.. i have a small studio in my basement.
i ovbiously dont have a huge wallet.
iv been looking 4 a new vocal recording mic and stumbled upon the behringer b-1. has anyone heard anything good or bas about it?
its $165/canadian
it comes with a hardshell case, shockmount, and pop screen

I'd save your money for an Audio Technica 3035 or Marshall V67. I'm not sure of the price in Canadian but I think you'd be happier in the long run.

It's not a bad mic at all. It's definitely a bright-sounding mic. Not particularly smooth, but not overly harsh either. If you want warm and smooth, get something else. If you want bright, present, and almost-but-not-quite harsh, then the b1 is your daddy. $100 american, and it comes with some nice accessories.

I have a mic for sale over in the "Free Ads" Forum that is raved about on this bbs, and rightly so. It is a MXL V67M. It is listed on ebay right now, but I wil pull it for the right offer.
