behr mixers vs. alto mixers

hmmm well what are you needing it for? the preamps? the connection possibilities? live?

I've used a bigger version of the behringer mixer you are looking at and i thought it was very intuitive and easy to use. It was for a modest live appliation though, never had a change to really judge the preamps. For recording purposes i think i would choose that alto, of course AFTER i tested them both out. The alto has phantom power which may come in handy (don't know if the behringer has that or not). Also the alto has 1 more preamp. Remember though, the best thing you can do is try them both out. See how those preamps perform (see if they add a lotof noise to your recordings, check their clip range etc). That is the best way.
