Hey I am looking into buying a turntable for scratching and a little bit of djing. The thing is that I am on a very tight budget. I am wondering if one of those 100$ turntables would serve me well or if I should save up for a SL-1200Mk2. Please if you know of a good turntable that isn't too expensive let me know. I am just beginning to look into this and I am not sure what to get. It doesn't have to be the best out there, just something that works and I will not outgrow too fast. I'm sure all of you great people can help me out :D

If I were you...and I once was hehe I'd wait and save up for the 1200/1210.
You really should have a powerfull deck if you're gonna scratch and dj with it.
I wouldn't go for a cheap one. These are more than often belt driven. Which means that the torque on the platter is driven by a belt from the motor. I suggest you save up some cash and go for a quality deck with direct drive (torque directly from the motor).
I wouldn't say that all belt driven cheapdecks are bad, but why ride a bicycle when you can get someone to drive you around in a limo?

RESEARCH! these days everybody makes a DJ turntable: Technics, Vestax, Gemini, Numark, Stanton, American DJ, etc. ALL $100 turntables suck! Check out the Stantons Technics Vestax and Numarks. If you primarily want to scratch get a straight tone-arm. You will NEED a direct drive motor.

PS. what's "a little bit of djing" ?
