Hi, I'm starting a professional career as a Music Producer, I've been doing a lot of research on the web about what keyboard would fit my needs as a beginner. I wonder if you could give me a hand here, helping me to make the best choise possible since I don't know nothing about keyboard brands or features needed. I only have 700$.

I know that you probably get this question a lot, and I'd rather not to bother you with this, but music production really really sucks here in my country, to give you and idea, you could only find Fender Squire's at the music stores lol :( , so I'm having a hard time chosing the best hardware.

I'm also planning to build a small Project studio with the following setup:
-Digidesign Mbox2 with PT LE 7
-PODxt live (already have it but gonna trade it for a BOSS GT-8)
-A pair of Yorkville YSM1i Passive Studio Monitors
-And I haven't chosen a Mic yet for vocals and acoustics.

I'd really like to know your opinions
Thank you!!

I've tried that one, it's really cool but it's like 300$ more than I have :(

Buy a used one on ebay, they go for about 600

What country are you in ?

Are you looking for a keyboard to use in the studio or one for simply home based recording ? If it's the latter then the Yahama DX505 works well.

If you're looking for recording I would consider a USB controller keyboard. A small one can be had for $200 or less and you can use it to drive PC based sounds.

I also agree that good deals can be found on eBay.
