Been working on this Queen cover....

...it's called "Spread Your Wings", from the News Of The World album...I really like the way they use to do it live..kinda stretched out jam with the crowd singing along type thing :) ...anyways for my version, I have substituted acoustic guitar for the piano intro, and was wondering how it sounds so far...not sure if anybody will be familiar with the original, but if so, I wonder if I'm in the ballpark....no vocals yet..Ive tried a couple times and I really suck....If anyone is interested ,feel free...I know Nak was interested, but has alot goin' on right now.

RAmi...no sweat man about the collab...I have been really busy latly as well...my real band is actually picking up some gigs and the other guys seem to wann get off there asse's and play out ..so my recording time has been cut down alot while we rehearse more...I still would like to do it some day...I really dig your music alot!!!
 
Working now man....Nice guitar tone at the start...well mixed. Good, clean playing man...I like it. I'm not familiar with the original....this isn't ringing a bell to me. No problem with that, as I like what I hear.

How did you record this? Sounds killer to me man....all the tones are awesome, and blend well together. Nice mix man. And great playing. :cool:
 
Still not working fo rme. Your links are OK, the player is opening but it's just sitting there, not playing. A typical Soundshit problem. I'll try again later.
 
Very cool. Nice guitar sound in the intro. I like it better than the original piano.

Hehehe...You always have Keith fucking Moon playing on your tunes. Actually, it's better than anything he'd be able to play, but it might be a bit too busy. The actual drums sound great, though. Love that snare.

Nice arrangement. Would love to hear Naka belt this one out. Love the electric guitars too....and the bass sounds great. Everything sounds really really good to me. Jut need some vocals on top of it.

Get the vox done chum - it's gagging for it.

I agree. The playing is very smooth, recorded well. Just needs the icing on the cake!

Hey Dogman...thanks!Yeah, I tried to get a pretty good Brian May type sound....I used a Vox amp sim on my Pod xtlive...I also tried not to bury all the levels really high like I tend to do have done in the past...Im still pretty much a rookie when it comes to recording on my own...luckily there is forums like this that really help ...

Thanks for checking it out Rami! Yeah...I go kinda fill crazy with the drums...it's probaly a good thing I can't play them for real..I'm sure I would be one of those spazzy type drummers were evrey song is one big fill.
Cool you think the Bass sounds good...I want to get a bit more of a defined sound on it so I maybe eq'ing it justa bit.

Dude, that's some serious playing. Very nice tones on the lead around 3:35. Sounds really nice. :) I need to learn drums so I can do my songs with proper drums. :)

Nobody plays 6 minutes songs anymore. So kudos on doing a whole 6 minutes song. :).

Thanks man...yeah, I kinda indulged and stretched out the guitar solo at the end...but it was a really cool progression to jam on ...I think I will be fading it out when I finish this up.

i've never heard the original but this sounds good. nice playing. i agree that the drums are a little busy and maybe the hihat is a little loud (forward?). anyway, sounds good man.

Thanks for the feedback...definitely agree I have a bit to much in the fill dept. on the drums...gonna rework em' over the weekend.
