OK, I manually gated the snare, gave me a LOT more control than I imagined it would... This new mix is an amalgam of the suggestions in here re: the drums and organ, some stuff I discovered myself along the way, and a little more clarity in the vox, Yes, I know she is out of tune, you can stop harping on that.

I keep a sep. file of committee mixed songs & another of the mixes I prefer personally. I enjoy mixing according to suggestions from the clinic because it makes me think & hear from a different set of perspectives. I usually like the results I get - in terms of braoder acceptance sounds. I usually prefer lower vocal levels & a bit more reverb thatn the consensus so I keep a mix of what I like too.
This is a cool mix - much more space for her due to your revision of drums etc.
you've done a good job with the rework, it's much more listenable &, if nothing else, it'll make the point to the young lady that her songs are pretty good and can be brought to life by good musicians BUT more imortantly; that she needs to work on her vocal pitch so that she can sell the songs in whatever setting is available.
