Beats?

hi, please ignore my ignorance, i am really new to this!

i am after equipment or software which allows me to reord myself playing guitar and also singin but which has built in beats!!

i have recently purchased Microsoft ACID which allows me to sing and record, but i am after something which will add a beat! or alternatively a recording system which will record both singing and guitar to a good quality where it is possible to add beats through the system! anyone know of such a thing?

Cubase will do all that, but i personally dont like the drum sequencing in cubase, you might not have a problem though. Maybe recording your guitar and vocals on cubase and writing your beats in something like fruity loops or reason, then importing the drum track into cubase with your guitar and vocal tracks is an idea. Fruity loops is the best begginer program for writing beats if your new to it.

If you want "real" loops go with a Drums on Demand Mix pack, put them in ACID and loop away. Maybe Line 6 Riff Tracker???????
