Beatnik Rhythmic Analyzer

Anybody familiar with this product? I'm looking for a new metronome. I was looking at the Tama rhythm watch previously, but this sort of caught my eye. My main concerns is how responsive the actual drum pad is, and how well it would work to just use as a metronome when playing with a concert snare. The accuracy mapping looks really interesting, but I also want to make sure it's a solid metronome and pad as well.
