I'm looking for something to record some great beats and drumtracks that are original. I want jazz drums all the way to NWA or Run DMC beats with the bass and all. What is the best machine to get or maybe even program. I used acid DJ enough, i'm ready to creat my own drums loops/tracks. Thanks guys!

P.S. i'm gonna use it for recording and an easy price range. Around $300 at most!

well.....

One of the best machines I've used so far is the yamaha RS7000 it's a desktop synth/sampler/sequencer. I love it. It costs around $1000 new and it's easy to use and oppossed to othe rpopular hip-hop beat-making gear such as the MPC, it has a nice selections of easily tweakable sounds onboard

rs7k = $700.00 new these days @ guitar center...

(or Reason & some refill packs)

does Reason do the job then for hip hop? i have a friend who uses it, i haven't been to use it yet becuase he lives far away.

I used it in Afghanistan until I got my MPC in......

It's hella tight....if I had the Oxygen midi controller it would have been even better

So it's well worth it

i've been on reason 2.0 for 1year and a half. it's pretty good for hip hop, i'd say, even if it has better possibilities for techno in my opinion. it's quite user friendly, unlike a few i've used.
