DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO GET IN TOUCH WITH OUR MODERATOR? IF HE DOESNT RUN IT THEN WHO WANTS TO? IT WAS JUST MY IDEA BUT IM SURE THERE ARE SOME CATS HERE WHO CAN SET IT UP...(I JUST PLAN TO WIN LOL) ANY RULES SUGGESTIONS?...THIS COULD REALLY BE TIGHT AND POPULAR IF WE ALL PUT OUR HEADS TOGETHER...SO FAR WE GOT 9 PRODUCERS(BEAT MAKERS)...THAT AINT BAD...HOLLA
 
I dont know where the moderator is, but I suggest a start date and an end date when we all post the mp3 on our respective sites for listening.

I would like to know, should we include vocals or no?
 
I'm not really a hip hop head, I do make beats so I guess I might be interested. Main reason I'm posting is to let y'all know SPINSTERWUN is the recently elected moderator in dis forum sos he's the man y'all need to get in touch with, maybe a PM, anyways,

i would say post 3 with lyrics but somehow they need to be posted simultaneously, that way no has an advantage, i wont need one anyway, but if i heard someone post something that was ok then i posted a fuckin banga then that gives me an unfair advantage.
 
I can judge if you want, but i can't yet judge best recording. I can judge best beat though. Rules will depend on experienced people who can produce a decent beat in a short time. If it's battle of the BEATS i don't think vocs should be aloud unless it's just a sample. The genre should also be the same so as everyone has an equal opportunity to win. Let me know if I can help.

I THINK IT SHOULD BE NO VOC'S JUST STR-8 BEATS MAYBE WE SHOULD HAVE BRACKETS LIKE SOL VS SMASHNGRAB,,,ETC AND JUST KEEP ADVANCING. BUT THIS JUST SHOULDNT BE A ONE TIME THING..IF IT WORKS JUST KEEP IT MOVIN.. MAYBE WE COULD HAVE A RATING SYSTEM LIKE A TOP 10 LIST WHERE YOU COULD MOVE UP AND DOWN DEPENDING ON YOUR WIN/LOSS RECORD ..AS FAR AS PEOPLE HAVING A UNFAIR TIME ADVANTAGE IF YOU JUST MAKE HEAT... YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY ....RIGHT?BUT...................................................WHO'S GONNA SETUP/RUN THIS?....................................
 
Ok, CANINE 704. First of all, turn off your CAPS LOCK. When your CAPS LOCK is turned ON, it is considered to be the same as
YELLING!!! :)
 
1) We need to find a place to HOST the submitted songs.

2) We need a fair way to pick the SEEDINGS (who VS whom).

3) Everybody should vote on the battles (most votes win).

4) There needs to be a CUT-OFF date set for submissions.

These are just suggestions....

Since you are so adament about this battle AND since you have a lot of time on your hands, you should set-up and run this event. ;)

YEAH IM THE NEW MODERATOR!!!!!!!WHO IS THAT?..SPIN sounds like you got the spare time cheif...seeing that you were so proud of being the moderator i thought you would know how to set it up ...it was just a suggestion im making my chips contest or no i just thought it would be cool to do..if you dont know how to go about it say so and for the future dont try to get cute with your little responses im 30 mins from CHI and the places you spin at so throw a smilie on that PATNA...

At the moment, I don't have the spare time.

First, of all, I am producing 6 different music projects at the moment.

Plus... I dj in clubs 3-5 nights a week.

Plus.... I am writing up ALL types of business proposals for added sponsorship.

Plus.... I'm making sure that everything is "straight" in terms of my lodging and transportation for this gig I have @ Crobar in Miami.

Plus.... Make sure that a certain song I've created gets licensed in the UK, Europe, Austrailia, and the Eastern Block.

Plus.... take out time to lay scratches for the 2 of the groups I dj for....

Plus... Have a meeting with the Alderman so I don't get the $1,000.00 fine for noise violations @ Betty's Blue Star Lounge.

Plus... Find the time to "network" and "play the game" with these club owners, so I can get another night dj'ing and stay in the "who's who".

Plus... Trying to keep in touch with the owners of the clubs "overseas" (while trying to use my"broken" French & Spanish speaking skills).

Plus... Trying to keep my associates focused on producing music.

Plus... Trying to start my own Label Imprint.

Yadda, yadda, yadda......

Canine, comin from a pretty unbiased point of view, I can see how you could have thought SPIN was messing with ya' there but that's definitely just his usual tone, don't think he originally meant anything, check out some of his posts in some other forums, he's definitely a pretty helpful member of the board as a whole and I bet he'd HELP y'all with the whole contest in some way, as would most here, it's definitely a cool idea and could be really tight, anyways, not sure bout the whole BPSN deal, but yeah.

BTW, throw a smilie on that...LMAO.

I agree that there should be no vocals.

I think we should do the brackets by synth type. That way, I would be up against raticus in the first round cos we both use a roland jv-1010.
